Partner 5. Agrupamento de Escolas Camilo Castelo Branco "AECCB", Portugal

The Camilo Castelo Branco School Group (AECCB) offers pre-school to secondary education to 3880 students, aged 3 to 19 years. AECCB employs 316 teachers, 3 senior technicians, 15 technical and 100 operational assistants. At the secondary level, there are four courses for accessing higher education in three years: sciences and technologies; arts; socioeconomic science; languages and humanities. There are also six professional courses that give students a level four competency certificate: audiovisuals, catering, sales, management and programming of computer systems, fashion design and food quality and control. We offer specialized artistic education in music. We also have a qualification center for adult education, designed to meet the needs of those people who have left school (lower than 12th form). Our offer is also aimed at adult emigrants, to whom we offer Portuguese for Speakers of Other Languages (PFOL).

In EcoPodcasts, the Agrupamento de Escolas Camilo Castelo Branco is the leader of the development of the EcoPodcasts resource hub and is responsible for developing various educational resources. The school also supports piloting activities in Portugal. Also, they develop many students’ podcasts. Furthermore, they are responsible for the identification and validation of teachers’ training needs in relation to the adoption of environmental education through an online survey.
